Termii is building a virtual communications infrastructure to enable businesses to engage their end customers more easily and effectively. The platform enables businesses to verify customer identity, send notifications, support customers and extract transaction engagement insights.

Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Head of People Operations & Culture at Termii Group. The role focuses on overseeing HR management while integrating operational efficiencies to scale HR functions across the organization. The Head of People Operations & Culture will drive operational excellence in recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, and culture-building while ensuring compliance with labour laws and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations & Strategy

  • Design and implement people operations strategies to ensure efficient and scalable HR practices.
  • Develop and manage recruitment strategies, ensuring the end-to-end hiring process aligns with business goals.
  • Implement HR systems and tools to automate workflows and enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee employee lifecycle management, including onboarding, performance management, promotions, and offboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, labour standards, and internal policies through regular audits and reporting.

Talent Management & Development

  • Collaborate with department heads to assess staffing needs and proactively address skill gaps.
  • Develop role-specific training and development programs to support performance improvement and career growth.
  • Manage and track training budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery of employee development initiatives.
  • Implement performance management solutions to evaluate employee performance, set clear progression paths, and ensure feedback loops.

Culture & Engagement

  • Lead initiatives that promote an inclusive, positive workplace culture, aligned with Termii’s mission and values.
  • Manage employee engagement programs, including wellness, team-building, and recognition, to boost morale and retention.
  • Facilitate employee feedback mechanisms (e.g., surveys, town halls) and drive continuous improvement in organizational culture.
  • Oversee conflict resolution processes and maintain a positive and constructive work environment.

Operational Excellence

  • Develop HR metrics to track employee performance, retention, and engagement, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  • Streamline HR processes, optimizing the use of technology and resources for operational efficiency.
  • Lead HR process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation and more effective workflows.
  • Support payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring timely and accurate handling of compensation and perks.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with employment laws and regulations across multiple regions.
  • Oversee all legal and compliance-related matters concerning HR operations, including contract management, redundancies, and employee relations.
  • Conduct HR audits and monitor changes in employment regulations to minimize risks and improve HR policies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on people operations, scaling HR processes, and talent management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with HR systems, data analytics, and operational process improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best HR practices.
  • Proven track record of building and leading HR operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with a focus on process optimization and operational efficiency.
  • Proficient with HR software and tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant technologies.
