About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer / Finance Manager for our subsidiary, Hisa, a stock trading company allowing everyday Africans to easily invest in both local and global assets including stocks, ETFs, bonds and alternative investments.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Finance Manager will oversee Hisa’s financial operations, ensure compliance with CMA regulatory standards, support license application processes, and manage financial planning, reporting, and risk oversight.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and audit readiness.
- Ensure full compliance with CMA regulatory requirements for licensed investment service providers.
- Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and statutory reports.
- Develop internal financial controls, risk controls, and financial policies.
- Manage treasury, cashflow planning, and reconciliation of local and USD wallets.
- Oversee tax compliance, payroll, and statutory remittances.
- Support due diligence, investor reporting, and financial modeling for strategic initiatives.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and financial partners.
- Contribute to corporate governance processes and board reporting.
- Oversee finance systems, operational efficiency, and process automation.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and active ICPAK membership.
- 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
- A master's degree or MBA is an added advantage.
- Experience working in fintech, investment firms, or regulated financial institutions preferred.
- Experience with CMA reporting, regulatory audits, or working in a licensed financial institution is highly preferred.
