About the Role
The Treasury Specialist at Raenest will support the Treasury function in executing daily liquidity management, treasury operations, settlement monitoring, trading support, and financial reporting across multiple currencies and payment corridors. The role will also assist with onboarding and operational integration of liquidity partners and counterparties to support Raenest’s cross‑border financial infrastructure.
The role will play a key part in ensuring treasury activities run smoothly and that the company maintains adequate liquidity to support global financial operations. The Treasury Specialist will work closely with the Treasury Lead and collaborate with the Finance, Compliance, Product, and Payments teams to ensure efficient cash management, accurate reconciliation, and effective monitoring of treasury activities.
Primary duties and responsibilities
Liquidity Management:

- Monitor daily cash balances across all company bank accounts, virtual accounts, and liquidity providers.
- Track balances and liquidity positions across key operating currencies and payment corridors to ensure adequate funding for payouts and settlements.
- Support the preparation of daily cash position and liquidity reports.
- Assist in forecasting liquidity requirements based on expected inflows and outflows.
- Escalate liquidity gaps or funding needs to the Treasury Lead to ensure operational continuity.
Treasury Operations:

- Execute internal and external fund transfers between treasury accounts, banking partners, and payment providers.
- Support the settlement of FX trades and treasury transactions.
- Maintain detailed treasury logs for trades, conversions, funding activities, and settlements.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing payments to ensure transactions are processed accurately and on time.
- Support treasury reconciliations across bank accounts, liquidity partners, and payment processors to ensure accuracy of treasury balances and transactions.
- Utilise Treasury Management Systems (TMS) to track treasury balances, liquidity positions, and transaction activity.
- Support treasury reporting and transaction monitoring through the company’s treasury management and financial systems.
- Assist with maintaining treasury operational procedures and documentation.
OTC Trading & Liquidity Partnerships:

- Support OTC trading operations, including documentation and monitoring of trade settlements.
- Assist with onboarding of liquidity partners, OTC counterparties, and FX providers.
- Coordinate required documentation and operational setup for new liquidity relationships.
- Maintain records of OTC trades, counterparties, pricing, and settlement timelines.
Risk Management:

- Support monitoring of financial risks, including currency exposure and counterparty risk.
- Track FX exposure across payment corridors and report findings to the Treasury Lead.
- Flag irregularities or discrepancies in treasury activities for investigation.
Reporting & Analytics:

- Assist in preparing treasury reports, including daily cash positions, liquidity utilisation, and funding movements.
- Maintain up-to-date treasury transaction records and financial logs.
- Support analysis of treasury data, including FX spreads, rate movements, and liquidity utilisation.
- Prepare periodic treasury reports for internal management and finance teams.
Compliance:

- Ensure treasury activities comply with internal policies and financial controls.
- Support compliance and audit teams by providing treasury-related documentation and transaction records.
- Assist in ensuring treasury operations align with regulatory requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
- Work closely with the Treasury Lead to execute treasury strategies and operational plans.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Support knowledge sharing and documentation to improve treasury workflows
Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as ACI Dealing Certificate, ACT, or CTP are an advantage.
- An average of 3–5 years of experience in treasury, finance operations, banking, or payments.
- Experience in fintech or cross-border payments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of financial operations, reconciliation, and treasury processes.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- High attention to detail and strong reconciliation capability.
- Good understanding of multi-currency treasury operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced fintech environment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across teams.
- Proficiency in financial tools, spreadsheets, and reporting systems.
- Understanding of FX markets, spreads, and treasury liquidity management.
