Key Responsibilities:

  1. Source and onboard SME clients in line with the company’s credit policies.
  2. Assess creditworthiness by analyzing financial statements, cash flow, and business plans.
  3. Prepare and submit credit memos and loan proposals for approval.
  4. Monitor and manage loan portfolio performance, ensuring timely repayments and identifying early warning signals.
  5. Maintain good relationships with clients and provide financial advice when necessary.
  6. Ensure loan documentation is complete and in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  7. Conduct regular field visits to verify business operations and gather credit intelligence.
  8. Provide periodic reports and updates on SME portfolio performance.
  9. Work with the collections team to recover overdue loans and minimize bad debt.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in SME lending, credit analysis, or financial services.
  3. Strong financial analysis and risk assessment skills.
  4. Good understanding of SME business models and the challenges faced by small businesses.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and meet set targets.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office and loan management software is an added advantage.
