As we expand, we are moving into crypto as a new frontier in trading and liquidity. This is a pivotal step in our growth, and we are looking for our first Crypto Trader to lead the way.
The Role
This isn’t a typical trading job. As Juicyway’s first Crypto Trader, you’ll be redefining how we do business. You will be the linchpin of our trading function, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and executing crypto trades that unlock liquidity for Juicyway and our customers.
You’ll leverage your network of crypto sellers and buyers to execute deals quickly, efficiently, and profitably. Whether we need to buy or sell, you’ll know who to call, how to negotiate, and how to close.
This is an entrepreneurial, high-impact role. You’ll have the freedom and responsibility to shape Juicyway’s crypto trading from the ground up, creating processes, building relationships, and helping us capture new opportunities in one of the fastest-moving industries in the world.
Tasks
Trading & Execution
- Execute crypto buy and sell trades quickly and efficiently, ensuring competitive pricing and strong liquidity.
- Manage spreads, monitor positions, and optimize profitability on every trade.
- Ensure accurate and timely settlement of all trades.
Market Development & Relationships
- Build and maintain a strong network of crypto sellers, buyers, OTC desks, exchanges, and HNIs.
- Must be able to consistently match or undercut prevailing P2P market rates
- Leverage existing contacts to ensure Juicyway has access to liquidity on both sides of the market.
- Negotiate terms and build trusted relationships to expand Juicyway’s reach and influence in the crypto ecosystem.
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure all trading activity complies with Juicyway’s policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks in counterparties, pricing, and market volatility.
- Maintain transparent records of trades and counterparties for reporting and audit purposes.
Systems & Process Building
- Design and implement the systems, tools, and processes that will serve as the foundation of Juicyway’s trading desk.
- Establish best practices for trade execution, reporting, and liquidity management.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations to integrate trading activity into company-wide systems.
Collaboration & Strategy
- Align trading activity with Juicyway’s growth and liquidity strategy.
- Provide insights to inform pricing, product decisions, and customer opportunities.
- Support the commercial team with liquidity insights that enhance sales and account management efforts.
Market Intelligence
- Stay on top of crypto and FX market trends, liquidity flows, and emerging opportunities.
- Provide regular updates on market conditions and recommend tactical and strategic moves.
- Identify opportunities for Juicyway to expand its trading footprint in crypto and beyond.
Requirements
- A strong network of contacts in the crypto industry — especially sellers, buyers, OTC desks, and HNIs.
- Proven ability to consistently access liquidity at or below P2P market rates through your existing relationships.
- Proven experience executing crypto trades, ideally in a trading, brokerage, or liquidity role.
- Strong understanding of market structure, spreads, and liquidity dynamics.
- Ability to move quickly, close deals, and deliver results under pressure.
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable building something from scratch.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- High integrity and professionalism in all trading activities.
