Our Mission

HoneyCoin's mission is nothing short of building the infrastructural layer for the transfer of value for the future. We're starting by building the next-generation blockchain based financial layer through our products HoneyCoin for Business and Peer. If you're looking for your next challenge and the opportunity to work on massive problems in the financial technology space for consumers and businesses, read on.

Business Development Lead - Enterprise Payments

Join our team of A players to build the future together.
Global enterprises entering African markets face a critical challenge: enabling millions of customers to pay using local payment methods they trust and can access. Streaming services, social media platforms, ride-hailing apps, and e-commerce marketplaces all struggle with the same problem – how to collect payments and make payouts efficiently across diverse African markets where mobile money, local cards, and region-specific banking systems dominate.
HoneyCoin solves this through our comprehensive payment processing infrastructure, empowering global enterprises to seamlessly accept payments and disburse funds using local methods across Africa, with connections expanding into the US, UK & Europe.
We want to keep earning trust, while also continuing to amaze our users with the use-cases HoneyCoin's infrastructure can power. This is where you come in — to help us expand our Enterprise Payments business by developing relationships with global B2C and B2B2C companies, implementing payment solutions tailored to their specific use cases, and establishing HoneyCoin as the essential payment infrastructure provider for any enterprise doing business in Africa.

Strong knowledge of African payment ecosystems, including mobile money platforms (M-Pesa, MTN Mobile Money, etc.), local card schemes, and bank transfer systems
Relationships with immediately ready-to-approach enterprise clients seeking payment solutions for African markets
Understanding of integration requirements for payment APIs and SDKs within enterprise environments

Do not apply if:
You do not have direct experience selling payment solutions to enterprise-level clients (companies with global reach and large customer bases)
You are a junior or mid-level business development professional, we are not looking for candidates who are building their network and looking for a challenge, we're looking for seasoned professionals with established relationships at global enterprises. We have previously had cases where we bring on BD talent with no closed leads over an 8-week period, this is not something we're looking to repeat.
You lack understanding of the specific payment challenges enterprises face when entering emerging markets
You have never worked with mobile money systems, local card processors, or other payment methods prevalent in African markets
You do not have a ready pipeline of possible enterprise leads to close, we're not looking for candidates who will be coming in to focus on building a pipeline from scratch
We provide reasons not to apply in order to save yours and our time as part of our interview process.
