Description
As Head of Treasury at HoneyCoin, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to expand economic opportunities for Africans worldwide. HoneyCoin is an innovative fintech company building the operating system money to move, be spent, and held by the global majority, with an initial focus on payments. We aim to create financial services and infrastructure that seamlessly connect businesses & consumers with each other and make borders invisible. As Head of Treasury, you'll oversee our organization's treasury operations, optimize financial processes, manage risk, and ensure seamless international money transfers. Your expertise in treasury management, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance will help shape our financial strategy while driving growth. This role is crucial in building a sustainable banking platform that serves the African diaspora.
Responsibilities
Design and implement effective treasury policies to optimize cash management and maintain strong liquidity positions.
Oversee daily cash operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and fund transfers.
Track and evaluate financial market trends and interest rates to develop optimal investment strategies.
Cultivate strong relationships with banking partners and payment providers to enhance international money transfer operations.
Work with cross-functional teams to maintain regulatory compliance and minimize financial risks.
Perform financial analysis and create reports with actionable insights for senior leadership.
Guide and develop a team of treasury professionals while promoting continuous learning and career growth.
Keep current with treasury management and financial services trends and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field. MBA or CFA designation preferred.
Proven experience in treasury management, preferably within the financial services industry.
Strong understanding of financial markets, banking operations, and payment infrastructure.
Excellent knowledge of cash management practices, liquidity management, and foreign exchange risk management.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements, such as anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) regulations.
Proficient in financial analysis, financial modeling, and financial reporting.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
