The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including planning, budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and analysis. You will be crucial in shaping our finance operations, ensuring sustainable growth, and maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Based on financial analysis and insights, provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and senior management team.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting activities. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including management accounts and reporting dashboards, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modelling. Provide actionable insights to support decision-making across all levels of the organization.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow effectively to support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. Develop and implement strategies to optimize working capital and minimize financial risk.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies and internal controls. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry best practices.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; ACA preferred.
- +4 years of proven experience, preferably within the restaurant or consumer retail industry.
- Robust financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting skills.
- Deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business results and solving complex financial challenges.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
